Parent Sleeping Accommodations

A parent sleeping room is located on the sixth floor of UCSF Children's Hospital. In addition, all patient rooms have couches that convert into day beds. Showers also are available for parents.

Because space is limited, please plan for only one parent to stay overnight in the hospital. Your child's nurse can provide information about the overnight sleeping policy and the availability of beds for parents whose children are hospitalized.

Short-term Housing

Patients and their families who travel long distances to UCSF Children's Hospital may contact us for information regarding short-term and longer-term lodging. Although we don't have on-site housing, we maintain listings of hotel and motel accommodations.

For information regarding hotels, motels and short-term apartment rentals, please visit our campus Housing Office Web site. You also may call our Referral Service at (888) 689-UCSF or send an email to referral.center@ucsfmedctr.org for assistance.
