Gastroenterology & Liver Practice Clinic

The Pediatric Gastroenterology and Liver Clinic at UCSF Children's Hospital offers diagnosis and treatment to infants, children and teens with digestive, nutritional and liver disorders.

We treat a wide range of conditions, including:

Acute and chronic hepatitis
Acute and chronic inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis
Diarrheal disorders
Feeding problems and swallowing disorders
Functional gastrointestinal disorders
Gastroesophageal reflux
Inherited metabolic and immunological defects
Intestinal failure
Liver failure requiring artificial liver support or liver transplant
Malabsorption disorders such as celiac disease and cystic fibrosis
Motility disorders
Short bowel syndrome

A pediatric registered dietitian and nutritionist is available to provide consultation regarding special diets and feeding regimens for feeding, gastrointestinal or liver problems.
