Cystic Fibrosis Center

The UCSF Cystic Fibrosis Center specializes in the care of children and adults with cystic fibrosis, a common but life-threatening genetic lung disorder. U.S. News & World Report has named UCSF Medical Center a specialized center of excellence for cystic fibrosis, and we are accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

In 1980, our center became one of the first in the nation to establish a separate adult cystic fibrosis program, which now is as large as our pediatric program due to continual improvements in patient care.
