UCSF Children's Hospital offers outpatient evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents and families for a full range of mental disorders. Both psychiatric and psychological assessments are available.
Particular areas of expertise include autism and other forms of pervasive developmental disorder, affective disorder such as depression and mania, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and Tourette's disorder.
Recommended treatments may include medication, long-term or brief psychotherapy, family therapy and group therapy. Forensic assessments of children, adolescents and families for courts, attorneys and agencies also can be arranged.
